Lifetime Warranty for Ethernet Transceivers, AOCs and DACs

Lightbolt branded fiber optic transceivers identified as having a limited lifetime warranty (the "Product(s)") are warranted against defects in materials and manufacture to the original purchaser for so long as Lightbolt/or its supplier continues to manufacture the purchased product.

3 Years Limited Warranty for Video Over Fiber Products

Lightbolt branded video products (including HDMI, DVI and SDI extenders, Video converters and SDI Transceivers) and fiber cables identified as having a limited 3 years warranty are warranted against defects in materials and manufacture to the original purchaser for so long as Lightbolt/or its supplier continues to manufacture the purchased product.

For the Product that is no longer manufactured or serviced by Lightbolt/or its supplier, Lightbolt will offer the original purchaser credit in the amount of the original purchase price if other terms of warranty are met. The use of the credit is limited to purchase of other like or upgraded product, and will be at the discretion of Lightbolt.

This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser; it may not be assigned by operation of law or otherwise.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper deployment, misuse, accidents, neglect, the natural breakdown of materials over time, or does not cover loss of operation caused by incompatibility of software or firmware.

The sole remedy for defects in materials or manufacture of the Product shall be repair or replacement of the Product, at Lightbolt’s option, not to exceed the original amount paid for the Product.  To receive factory service under this warranty, contact your point of purchase for return authorization and shipping instructions.

Except for the limited warranties set forth above, Lightbolt and its affiliate disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.  The disclaimer in this paragraph shall not be limited to the original purchaser; it shall also apply to any subsequent purchaser or other applicable party.

In no event shall Lightbolt or any of its affiliates have any liability for any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages.  In addition, in no event shall the liability of Lightbolt or its affiliates for any damages arising out of or in connection with the Product exceed the amount paid or payable by you for the Product principally responsible for such damages.  The limitations of liability herein shall apply to any damages regardless of the theory of liability, whether derived from contract, tort (including but not limited to negligence), or otherwise, even if Lightbolt or its affiliates has been advised of the possibility of such damages and regardless of whether the limited remedies hereunder fail of their essential purpose.  Some states in the U.S. and other countries do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so portions of this paragraph may not apply to you.  The limitation of liability in this paragraph shall not be limited to the original purchaser; it shall also apply to any subsequent purchaser or other applicable party.


Lightbolt Return Policy

For Lightbolt stock products in new or like-new condition (*fiber optic cable is excluded) and within 30 days of the original purchase date, we shall refund the original purchaser the total amount for the items returned, offer replacements, or provide a maintenance service at our sole discretion.

For custom non-stock products, we offer maintenance services within the warranty period.

Returns must have a valid RMA number obtained from Lightbolt directly. RMAs are valid for 20 days from the date of issuance and will be cancelled after 20 days.

Shipping fees are non-refundable. All returns must be shipped to the attention of the RMA number. Product must be returned securely in a box only.  No envelopes or pouches. Product must be shipped through a common carrier with tracking and proof of delivery. Product must be returned in original undamaged packaging and double boxed.

Failure to comply with any of these policies will result in the package being refused and returned to sender.
